I hope that when you have support, education, and care those challenges will feel less overwhelming and your confidence will grow, allowing your new family to bond and flourish.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What to expect:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a postpartum doula my first priority is to insure that the parent who has just given birth feels rested, relaxed, and confident. In addition, I offer the family the needed assistance with feeding and nurturing the baby. I aim to bring lots of love to the new family and try to lighten the load that new parents inevitably feel. I serve all family types, and while the services I provide will vary from client to client, my typical postpartum services include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Infant feeding support and instruction<\/li>\n<li>Non-judgmental emotional support and guidance<a href=\"https:\/\/adoulachick.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/IMG_5086.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-18243 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/adoulachick.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/IMG_5086-e1549411159161-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"201\" height=\"201\"><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Daytime care and support<\/li>\n<li>Baby soothing skills<\/li>\n<li>Newborn care<\/li>\n<li>Light meal\/snack preparation<\/li>\n<li>Light housekeeping\/home organization<\/li>\n<li>Referrals to local resources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I offer a complimentary meet and greet visit to see if we might be a good fit. Once my services have been retained, I provide an in-home planning session to discuss your needs and to create a custom designed schedule of support. Daytime shifts are generally offered in 4-hour blocks (at $60\/hour) so that I can best offer you the support you need and facilitate your rest.
